This is Charlie Lee, one of the strange things that keeps happening to me when I travel to asia, is older men when great english skills talking to me. I was in the Presidential Memorial when Charlie approached me for a long chat. I am sure he wanted to practice his English skills, but he made a lot of sense and seemed to have a great grasp of who I was and what I was about before he even knew the whole story. I am hoping I am not the only one having this experience as this is the 3rd time is has happened to me - and I don't think I have an obvious halo!

‘Steven Dix, helped ‘Save the Queen’ at Versace over the Queen’s Birthday weekend with his rendition of the Union Jack, Versace Style. Yet again, Steven’s artist flare celebrated the hotel’s celebrations for the long weekend. Winner, Stuart, from California, USA, was thrilled with his British/Versace artpiece, which will be hung proudly in his boardroom. Vive le Dix’

Darren Head; top bloke and mate, also the head Chef at Riverbend Cafe. We had a very relaxed evening at Philip Bacon Galleries for the opening of works by Ralph Wilson (OCT 9 - 08), Brisbane artist who does a lot of landscapes from around Moreton Bay. Darren works for Ralph at the very popular Oxford Street location. Darren didn't have as much champagne as I did, but he did have to get up early the next day.

Peter J Martin an exceptional Brisbane artist allowing me the privilege to have a quick photo opportunity at the 08 St Sebastian's Spring Art Exhibition which was held on Saturday 6th September @ St Sebastian's Primary School Yeronga. This exhibition has been running since 1976. You really should have a look at Peters work - It is fantastic and he captures Australia from a very unique point of view. I WILL own one of his pieces one day.

This is my Oncologist from the Mater Hospital. A lot of people took part in my treatment for cancer. Dr Paul Mainwaring is a funny man with a very serious job. A big thanks from me to Andrea and Owen, and Dr Peterson who did the surgery. Also all the guys on level 10 at the Mater Adults ward. If I hadca thousand dollars for each person that scanned me, or injected, or took blood or drugged me - I would be a millionaire. I am looking forward to donating a painting to the Mater one day for the Oncology team and research.

Charlotte commissioned some extra large pieces for a Vantines Day promotion The art was 2 meters high and 2 meters wide, giving the Jean Brown display window a colourful punch for the Romantic season. Based on a previous work called Fields of Love, the windows were filled with hearts, butterflies and flowers.

A great mentor and teacher for me. Peter Dynes is a successful artist in the New Farm area of Brisbane. I learned invaluable lessons from Peter whether he meant to teach me or not. He graciously spent a lot of time with me before I found I had cancer. It was a great period in time for me, lots of Pink Floyd and experimentation. Peter is seen here holding up "The Pheonix" fora photo.
